Storytime with LOFE: Roman Rafique

LOFE family, meet Roman. He's currently studying General Business at the University of North Texas. Roman is always looking for ways to generate cash flow when he's not busy with school. Whether reselling sneakers or starting a clothing brand, Roman firmly believes in monetizing the things you're passionate about. When he was in high school, he was able to scale a business reselling shoes that saw him bringing in a reasonable amount of money every month. Roman spends ample time researching the market and trends associated with his company, which plays a massive part in his success.

Nonetheless, these things didn't make Roman immune to the bumps along the road within the shoe resell industry. Roman met a potential client who stole money from him meant for a transaction. Luckily, he got his money back through a claim, but he also understood that this was all part of doing business within his industry. He understands the risks of being a shoe reseller, but that has not deterred him from doing what he loves.

Romans’ primary focus is taking his family business to new heights. His parents have substantial knowledge and experience as entrepreneurs that they passed down to him. He believes that his purpose is to utilize those skills paired with a business degree to create a world in which no one has to suffer, whether providing shelter for people without housing or creating opportunities for those who want to become entrepreneurs.

We're glad to connect with Roman and hear his willingness to share his knowledge and experience with those who have fewer resources in hopes that it will make the world he sees a better place. Romans’ story is just another reminder that we can impact the world in many ways, and there are no limitations to how much power we have to make a difference.
